(ggogle translate) If you want to know what is happening in Jammu and Kashmir, then you will ask someone or the other. The statement of the army and the police gives information about any incident, but politically, the voice of what is happening inside Kashmir will come from those who are accountable. So much is happening yet there is no detailed press conference on Kashmir. Apart from this, other traditional avenues have either been closed or weakened such as political parties, civil organisations, NGOs and the media. After the abolition of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, if you consider the condition of all these, then you will know that you have only the dock media to know on Kashmir, which itself does not know what is happening there. More than two years have passed since the abrogation of Article 370, neither the restoration of the state nor the concrete steps regarding the political process.
the Central Information Commission has observed that The disclosure of files provided by India's second army chief General Sir Roy Bucher to Nehru Memorial Museum and Library about Jammu and Kashmir related to the period of 1947-49, which may throw light on Accession, is in "national interest"
However, Information Commissioner Uday Mahurkar has instead asked the NMML's Central Public Information Officer "to take up the matter with higher officials" and "secure the necessary permission" before sharing the information with RTI activist Venkatesh Nayak.
Nayak said he had pressed for larger public interest in the disclosure of the information as October, 2021 will usher in the 75th anniversary year of signing of instrument of accession by Maharaja Hari Singh but Information Commissioner Uday Mahurkar used the word "national interest" in his order.
Access to the papers handed over by General Sir Roy Bucher to NMML will be of immense value to counter the controversy that has been created with regard to the actual date of signing of the Instrument of Accession and its acceptance, Nayak said in his arguments before the Commission.
The said dates happen to be 26th and 27th of October, 1947 respectively, he said.
The activist also relied upon the institution of declassification policy of official records by the government for the purpose of compiling war and operations histories by the Ministry of Defence which was put in public domain on June 12, 2021.

Srinagar: Sikh School Principal, Kashmiri Pandit Teacher Shot Dead By Terrorists https://thewire.in/security/srinagar-sikh-school-principal-kashmiri-pandit-teacher-shot-dead-by-terrorists
The shocking killings came barely 36 hours after three civilians, including a prominent Kashmiri Pandit chemist, Makhan Lal Bindroo, and a street vendor from Bihar, were gunned down in Srinagar on Tuesday evening.
The killings of the two teachers evoked massive outrage across the region, with several prominent Kashmiri Pandits questioning the BJP’s claims that normalcy had returned to Kashmir.
People’s Democratic Party chief and former J&K chief minister Mehbooba Mufti targeted the Union government for the deteriorating security situation in the Valley. ”Disturbing to see the deteriorating situation in Kashmir where a minuscule minority is the latest target. GOI’s claims of building a Naya Kashmir has actually turned it into a hellhole. It’s sole interest is to use Kashmir as a milch cow for its electoral interests,” she tweeted.
Modi governments claims of building a Naya Kashmir after article 370 has actually turned it into a hellhole. It’s sole interest is to use Kashmir as a milch cow for its electoral interests. The killings of the two teachers evoked massive outrage across the region, amongst the Kashmiri Pandits questioning the Modi governments claims that normalcy had returned to Kashmir. The spate of targeted killings in Kashmir continued with two more from civilians the minority community, including a female principal, being shot dead on the premises of a school on the outskirts of Srinagar.People targeted the Modi government for the deteriorating security situation in the Valley.
Where is Mr. Modi? Is this how we will return to our homeland? Where we are not safe,” Sagrika Kissu, a Kashmiri Pandit journalist, wrote.
A spate of targeted killings this year has rattled security agencies in Kashmir but the latest attacks seem to be aimed at creating a sense of shock and fear in the minority community at a time when the Union government is pushing for the return of Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley.
The J&K Police have described the targeted killings as ‘hybrid warfare’, a new tactic adopted by militants who, according to the police, are training and arming their overground workers with small firearms to kill ‘soft targets’.

University of Law, on whether the Centre's decision to render Article 370 ineffective and break J&K into two is constitutionally valid or not. Mustafa tells Thapar that though the court is unlikely to show urgency in this matter, the Centre's failure to ascertain the views of the state assembly can be grounds for striking down the move.
Harish Salve: Why Supreme Court is Unlikely to Void Article 370 Move https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOvitf0H2Dg&t=542s In an exclusive interview with Karan Thapar for The Wire, the leading lawyer says the Modi government's decision to change Jammu and Kashmir's constitutional status was in line with past precedents and that parliament was within its rights to act on behalf of the state assembly in demoting J&K to Union Territory status. But he said the Supreme Court could have acted faster in hearing complaints about the violation of rights.
