Everyone was supposed to get a pucca house by 2022 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. But the government has completely failed in this. The city of Mumbai has a system of cut-off dates for getting houses and because of this, people who came after 2011 are far away from their right to houses and the dream of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Our demand is that the Maharashtra government should end this cutoff date system and give houses to all.
Similarly, the work of construction of a big drain is going on in Mankhurd Maharashtra town. Many mistakes have been found in its survey. It should be rectified immediately and the work of providing houses to all should be started from this project. It should be ensured that no one will be rendered homeless by the project.
