He ( Mr. George Fernandes) was great admirer & follower of Mr. Ram Manohar Lohia .Helped very poor labourers throughout his life . Very dynamic , bold trade union leader throughout nationwide . All top political leaders exploited him . He was very good coordinator . Brought 22 parties under one roof ,NDA. He was key in making Mr. Atal as PM. Sad part is no politician came close for his help during his old age whether Atal Bihari or L.K.advani . Died without much publicity compared to his dedications towards poor and also contribution in forming NDA government. Extremely simple man . Lived life helping large group of poor labourers. Main architect of Konkan railway. He is unsung hero. All forgot him though he dedicated his entire life for poor for more than 60 years . No monument on his name .

If all Opposition parties spoke in this fashion, with such clarity about the assault on Muslim lives and dignity, the govt would it very hard to get away with all that it does in its project to create a vast Hindu vote bank and radicalise Hindus further

Comment on WA: I suppose the saving grace is the part which says " without being in violation of the US constitution's limits ".. Note the words "without being" rather than "provided that".. I suppose we can expect such an enabling legislation to to be brought in in India.  And given the new laws which have come into force from today, the dark clouds abound! As it is, Olga Tellis has been diluted by work arounds by the administration, the police and the bulldozer backed up by hate propaganda.
