I’m sorry, Ankita that your case in the Supreme Court seeking a CBI investigation into your murder was disposed of and we have not yet managed to catch the main culprit. I’m sorry Ashutosh, fearless journalist and Petitioner before the Court that you have had to suffer victimisation for investigating this case and had FIRs filed against you and also suffered the victimisation of your wife by way of her transfer. I’m sorry Soni Devi, for the death of your darling daughter by a VIP who asked for “special services” from Ankita, a young girl working in the hotel. Her refusal led to her murder.
Modi Govt's Silence on US Tariffs; India Attacks UN Report on Bangladesh on Grounds That Apply to Itself; Trump Making Nuclear Proliferation Great Again https://www.theindiacable.com/p/modi-govts-silence-on-us-tariffs While China, Canada, and Mexico have swiftly retaliated with counter-tariffs and WTO complaints, India has remained eerily quiet despite the obvious injustice of a fully developed, wealthy country like the US expecting tariff equalisation with a poorer nation like India across all product lines. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, currently in Washington for trade talks, has yet to issue a response, let alone a strong one. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, when asked about the tariffs in London at an event organised by Chatham House think tank, sidestepped the issue entirely, vaguely pointing to Goyal’s ongoing discussions

Madhya Pradesh police ‘parade’ cow slaughter accused in Ujjain Ujjain Superintendent of Police confirms the arrests but denies having any information about the alleged parading of the accused.
Two men were beaten up and ‘paraded’ in public in broad daylight after they were arrested in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain on charges of cow slaughter on Monday (March 3, 2025).In purported videos that surfaced online, the men are seen walking on a road accompanied by some police personnel, with one of them hitting the men with a baton. The men, as shown in the videos, can also be seen raising chants like “gaay hamari mata hai (cow is our mother)”.
Ujjain Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma confirmed the arrests to The Hindu but denied having any information about the alleged parading of the accused. “I am not aware of the parading but we will check the details,” he said. The incident took place in Ghatia police station area.Another video also showed a group of right wing activists felicitating Ghatia police station in-charge and other officers by garlanding them inside the police station.
Vinod Sharma, Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Malwa prant mantri, told The Hindu that some local workers of the VHP and Bajrang Dal had gone to the police station to offer their respect for the police personnel.“We don’t usually felicitate in public but these officers had done a commendable job by catching these infamous men who have been involved in cow slaughter and smuggling in the area. The way of punishing may vary but if the cops have done a good job, we should thank them,” he said.
Additional SP Guruprasad Parasar, however, downplayed the incident and said that it was “not such a serious matter”.“Police did not beat them up like it is being shown. Someone may have hit them once or twice. Someone took the video and the local media portrayed the matter this way,” he said.He said that the information was received about cow slaughter about 10 days ago and a case was filed.“Some people had seen them when they were tying a cow and tried to catch them but they escaped taking the advantage of dark,” he said.

Jeffrey Sachs Roaring Ukraine Speech At EU Parliament; Blasts U.S., Says 'Not Putin's Puppet' https://youtu.be/hA9qmOIUYJA?t=280 Feb 25, 2025
Professor Jeffrey Sachs recently addressed European Parliament on February 19, 2025, with a stark warning: being a friend to the United States can be "fatal." Speaking at "The Geopolitics of Peace" event, hosted by Michael von der Schulenburg, Sachs emphasized the need for Europe to adopt a truly independent foreign policy. Sachs' statement was a call to action, urging Europe to develop a foreign policy that's grounded in reality. Sachs' words echo his previous criticisms of US foreign policy, particularly regarding the Ukraine conflict. He has argued that the US has recklessly expanded NATO's reach, ignoring Russia's concerns and fueling the devastating war.
The TN Minister for Information Technology and Digital Services https://youtu.be/JCBAXc0ICw0?t=1833 Mr. Thiaga Rajan spoke about his government’s fears of and opposition to the delimitation in 2026. He says that the threat of delimitation is “deeply alarming” adding it “drives me into a panic”. .. Mr. Thiaga Rajan said the short-term solution to the issue of delimitation is a further 25-year freeze during which time serious and effective steps must be taken, through promoting education and health in particular, to ensure that states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, with far higher population growth levels, catch up with the southern states.
To this day we don’t know the exact number of those who died at Prayagraj on January 29. The figures “30 dead and 60 injured” provided by the Uttar Pradesh Police were the ones that the mainstream media chose to run with. Some added, for abundant caution, terms like “at least” and “more than” because the police data somehow seemed too pat, especially as other journalists, less yoked to power, had counted at least double that number of dead bodies. Another piece of information that was intriguingly missing from the narrative was the number of those who were untraceable. https://thewire.in/media/backstory-ways-in-which-news-of-the-stampedes-has-been-made-to-vanish-in-double-time
If the numbers were vaporised out of the reportage, so were the very sites of death and destruction. Before a proper forensic examination could be even conducted, bulldozers were brought in to carry away mangled human remains and personal effects of the dead, making it impossible to do a proper reconstruction of the sequence of events that had led to the calamity. News did come in of another stampede, albeit a smaller one, but here again the prompt cleaning up operations removed any evidence of it.
If the story goes against the establishment’s interests, place hurdles in reporters’ access
By the time the New Delhi Railway Station stampede had occurred a fortnight later, it appeared that the Modi government had learnt several lessons from the Prayagraj events. Here you had pro-active attempts to keep all media attention at bay. As bodies were taken to the Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash Hospital, yellow police barricades quickly ringfenced it and police personnel stopped mediapersons in their tracks as they sought to go in.
If the story potentially ignites public outrage, neutralise public outrage through prompt and targeted action
Even as people were searching for their missing relatives, some post-mortems had been completed, and all evidence of the stampede removed.
Simultaneously, relatives were strongly discouraged from talking to the media.
