The water crisis could disrupt agricultural production, industrial operations resulting in inflation, decline in income and social unrest, the agency said.
By 2031, the average annual water availability per capita in India is likely to drop to 1,367 cubic metres from an already-low 1,486 cubic metres in 2021, Reuters reported citing data from the water resources ministry.
Comment: The Sovereign Credit strength is also dependent on the Public assets and the earnings from them, either as services, when in fact these are being privatised through internal debt to private sector, but from public funds.
