Gravitas Plus: 75 years since Independence, time for India to reclaim its rich heritage Palki Sharma Upadhyay. Jan 29, 2022
#GravitasPlus | India has always been ahead of the times, be it in mathematics or medicine. Yet, when the British colonised India, they hammered in an inferiority complex.
We've been free for 75 years. It's time to reconnect with our rich heritage.

Two aspects of it. We have failed to "capitalise" on our historical knowledge.  What does going back to the texts and connecting them to modern day mean? What is the method of inter-subjectivity, and passing on that knowledge. and how is it "patronised or funded.

Which are the departure points of "knowledge" of indian traditionals sytems and what is the value of going back to them, as theory of knowledge, being, knowing, and relating..  Would this be decolonialising ? ..

Would an Indian innovation of now Westermnised ideas, system be called Indian? in the knowledge rhealm no.. But in the Economic sense perhaps..  But if they are patented and held by Corporates, would they be Indian? Probably not, because that technology along with the corporate itself would be immediately purchase by some other corporate..

In the KICS knowledge Swaraj, there are practices which are observed in groups, communities and in the community realm. which are considered "patrotiotic. But also are practices which may be "Western" in origian, but are developed and nutured by local groups, is also patriotic.

So decolonialsing is perhaps more to do with "de-company-raj"..
