JNU Authority Has Disgraced Themselves': Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor On Incidents At JNU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6Aklp1Lda0 Jan 25, 2023
Speaking about the controversial BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Gujarat riots in 2002, Congress Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor said that the argument that it would affect India’s sovereignty was not convincing. He added that India's national security and sovereignty weren’t fragile.
Ep. 2 of BBC Modi Documentary Holds up a Mirror to Indian People; Govt Should Let it be Seen: N. Ram https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2OhFUYrJ8s In an interview done literally hours after links to episode 2 of the BBC’s two-part documentary series called ‘India: The Modi Question’ became available to people in India, one of the country’s most highly regarded journalists and a former Editor-in-Chief and publisher of The Hindu says episode 2 is “an excellently conceived, excellently produced episode. It’s got a mix of people arguing both sides … there is nothing exaggerated here … nothing is overstated”. N. Ram believes that this episode holds up a mirror to the Indian people, reflecting the sort of country India is becoming and this is something that the Indian media and, perhaps, Indian news television channels in particular have signally failed to do. Mr. Ram says that unlike the government’s response to episode 1, which they tried to block on YouTube and Twitter, the government should allow episode 2 to be seen freely and widely.

BBC’s hitjob on Narendra Modi not a one-off incident, shows growing British distrust for rising India https://www.firstpost.com/opinion/bbcs-hit-job-on-narendra-modi-not-a-one-off-incident-shows-growing-british-distrust-for-rising-india-12034132.html
Conclusion Maybe the BBC’s hostility is a by-product of innate British distrust for India since the days of the Raj...The British misgiving for a strong, nationalist government led by Narendra Modi is even greater. In that way, the BBC’s hit-job on Modi shows growing British distrust for rising India. How could India escape the Churchillian doomsday scenario to not just do well in the new global order, but also push the UK behind and take its exalted position as an economic power?..Maybe there’s a racial angle, too: The BBC hit-job is also the British establishment’s assault against an Indian-origin prime minister at 10 Downing Street. It has come at a time when Rishi Sunak has put his force behind FTA with India. If India retracts, it will be a big personal setback for Sunak.
