Mr Dubey has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, accusing Ms Moitra of breach of parliamentary privilege, contempt of House and criminal conspiracy. The Trinamool Congress MP said that she welcomes any kind of inquiry, while the Hiranandani group has rubbished BJP's charges, saying that they are in the "business of business", and "not in the business of politics".

Walmart Foundation said that, since 2018, through its market access programme it has invested over $39 million in India to reach 500 Farmer Producer Organizations/Farmer Producer Groups targeting 8,00,000 farmers, of which more than half are women..
NGOs like PRADAN, ACCESS, Mercy Corps and Srijan are working with the Walmart Foundation’s Market Access Program to provide on-ground impact.

conduits for international Agri-business. Details of such transactions
should be highlighted. Others should exercise caution.

PROWFIT builds off PRADAN’s previous project 'LEAP' (Livelihoods Enhancement through market Access and Women Empowerment). LEAP, a two-year project, was supported by $1.9 million grant from the Walmart Foundation. This project impacted the livelihoods of 45,000 smallholder women farmers across Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. The program focused on creating opportunities for women smallholder farmers (SHFs) to build capabilities to sustainably double their income over a four-year period, with a goal to take them irreversibly above the poverty line by establishing sustainable farm businesses.
